Though I would be afraid to see how much that lens will cost. New technology and all. But if its true and meets expectations, you can bet a lot of people will switch unless Nikon tosses out something similar. (or if the price is a bajillion dollars for the lens)

Sorry, had to do it.. I showed the PDF file to a friend and she was going nuts... She even called Canon to find the release date.. Needless to say, I'm in for a woopin'!!! LOL But it was a great April Fool's joke!! LOL

Canon are not able to release details of exactly how they make the lenses but, have said that
the whole process of manufacturing has to take place in total darkness until the new Starlight
Spectra Coating, which is the key to the intensifying of light, has time to develop its light gathering
ability.
