Default More RAW Help Please!!

Hi there,
I have established that CR2 will not open with my Photoshop (I only have CS), so it has been suggested that I shoot RAW and convert to DNG which photoshop WILL open.
When I import CR2's into Canon Digital Photo Professional, the only options I get to save as are CR2, Exif-JPEG, Exif-TIFF 8bit or TIFF-16bit. I can't find an option for DNG. I know I'm probably being a bit of a dullard and that one of the options above is what I'm lookng for (the the option is elsewhere in DPP), so any help on where I'm going wrong would be GREATLY apprieciated.

Many Thanks.

DNG is a format from Adobe. Go to the Adobe site and download the free DNG converter. It's a standalone application. You'll be able to do what you want after you do that.

you ca save as a tiff and have photoshop open that up. haven't really looked into this a whole lot.

lightroom is prolly your next best option, it fully supports .cr2

Many Thanks to tfiorda!!!
