Default Tamron 28-300mm vc lens for 40D
Hi does anybody have any experience with this lens Im thinking of getting it to use on my 40D also would you know if this lens would autofocus with my kenko 1.4 extender thanks so much,

Hi ultrabigal,

I know three of our members , Mark McCall, JFrancho and Worm357 have or used the non-VC version of this lens on their 20D/30D/40D/XTi's , from what they reported, they were quite happy with the image quality and build quality, taking into account the lens' moderate price and extreme zoom range.

Using an extender on a 11x zoom lens is not that good an idea IMO, and at the longest end AF will certainly not work on your 40D if the extender transfers it's existence to the camera.
