Default ELAN 7NE Custom Function

Does this Camera have the custom function which allows the Image Stabilizer to oper-ate only when the shutter button is pressed partially down? I e-mailed B&H w/this question and got a useless response. Thanks for your help.

When I push the shutter halfway with my 7NE and 28-135 IS, the IS activates unless I have it off on the lens. I don't remember setting a custom function for that.
Maybe I just don't understand your question.

Hi my li'l pony,

As far as I know, there is no such custom function, the only way to disable IS is put it off on the lens, the only way to activate IS is to press the shutterbutton halfway/partially down...

...€0.02...

Kindest regards!

Looks like I overlooked-misread-something here. The Canon 30d instruction manual states, " IS start
With the lens' IS switch already ON,the Image Stabilizer operates only while you press the button.
This statement has nothing to do w/standard IS operation,it refers to the AF stop button on a Super Telephoto lens being connected to IS through a custom fuction.Sorry for the confusion and thanks for your response.Evoryware, you can reference my mistake if you still have your manual.I found some 7N material I had and it's custom function 13 #5 for your camera. Now if I could only delete this post. Ha,Ha !
