Yes, I've read a bit a few months ago, seen nothing to date and have no more info.

I bought a 5D a few weeks ago so that's NEW for me ~~~~

That body has been around some time, and with Nikon having out new toys (tools) and more on the way, it is not only possible, it is a must that Canon turn up the heat, and real soon!

They're coming out with the new 5D
they will in China this October at the sow
and by December we will have it here

This is a very important development. While the 5D was the greatest camera ever just two years ago, and the envy of many photographers, it is clearly becoming sort of a dog nowadays. I hope the new one has a built in cellphone.

I'll settle for no less than an a built in iPhone or a Nokia Smart Phone ~~ Cell phone? Sooooo last century ~~~ keep up man

Many believe it will be announced in September at Photokina ( very large camera show in Germany where Canon usually saves new models for show).

In order for this place to turn into DPReview, we would need to wait on 8 to 12 month old cameras to be reviewed and have a person that thinks he is a King running the place. That would suck!

Okay, you're right. It needs satellite radio and one of those one-button car-style cell phone services where you press a button and speak the number you want to call.

As far as I'm concerned there's nothing exciting in new DSLRs until the technology radically changes to give you increased D.R. and maybe significant resolution improvements (without introducing noise - but of course there's a limit set by physics here). Adding a megapixel here or there means nothing.

I'd imagine a new model coming out this year, if any, will just have some cheesy software answers to the dynamic range issue (like a built in HDR bracketing mode or something).
