Default Canon - switching from LCD screen to the viewfinder

My best friend has a Rebel xTi. How does she switch from the LCD screen to the viewfinder? On my olympus it is a button.

?? ...she cannot 'switch' for a 'preview' on the LCD, as the XTi has no 'LiveView' capabilities, she has to compose the shot through the viewfinder and take it first...

...as the LCD on the 400D/XTi is solely for the review, after the shot has been taken...

...and that is the way a DSLR is supposed to be used , unless doing special stuff like Macro- or Over/Under your head photography, where looking through the viewfinder is prohibited.

Excessive use of the LiveView feature on all current DSLR's is dangerous for (heat-induced) damage to the sensor.

With the Disp. (lay) button, top left row, she can turn the LCD on or off while in shooting mode, and change the way the image is reviewed in review mode

...€0.02...

Kindest regards!

If you talking about Liveview, she can't the 400D/XTi doesn't have it. The 40D does...
