Yikes. Should I wait for the real English version of that to come out? because I didn't much understand that stuff there.

50D with "mild" upgrades over the 20D:

10.3Mp
5.5 fps
AF engine from the 5D

Sub-Rebel - 3000 series with 50D's sensor, 3fps
less bells and whistles - Addressing the sub $600 body market

New flagship - IDsMkIII - 20Mp, high-speed reduced crop mode
8fps etc.

Seems plausible... We shall know shortly.

Oh what a translation!

Let us see what Canon will bring us this spring. More megapixels and better noise handling are welcome at a reasonable price.

I personally hope that Canon does not do away with the 1.6x cameras. I find them handy for nature shooting. They make my telephotos seem longer.

10.3 megapixel and 5.5 shots per second is great for nature.

20 mpix for 1DS Mark III? I was thinking 22 at least.

I was as well.... It's an early rumour, so maybe 22 is the real deal?

I think APS-C will be around for awhile. Curious to see how the new sensor
performs in comparison to the 20D's. Knowing Canon, it will probably be
an even better performer.

Do you think the 20D's sensor doesn't perform well? Just curious....

I think it's fine. I guess I do have issues with the focus tracking of the camera. The one I use belongs to my girlfriend. Perhaps we need to send it in for calibration.
