I've fallen out with Chuck myself, back in the days of DPReview he was Canon's God, I questioned some of his utterings only to find myself a witch in the 1530's Inquisition.

Clearly this man is tired of defending an untenable position and he should resign. IMO of course, as technical head of Canon's customer service division her was pretty good but now ...

"Flattering" lost me in his opening comments ~~~ and I've not read further than the camera is working to our specs ~~~ it patently is not.

Chuck is old. Might not be crazy yet, but he is opinionated like the rest of them. The only startling news is the fact that he admitted the new beast has some issues, and of course they fixed them, but they are working on yet another fix. Humm, I thought you fixed them?

Interesting that it says Canon leads the way in both camera categories. Other reports claim otherwise. Maybe wishful thinking. Either way, doesn't mean you are the best.

Nice bit about the new OLED technology. Oh yes, definitely we are gonna use it he says. Brighter screens, more accurate color, lower power consumption. All great Chuck. He says we showed a 5D prototype using an OLED screen in 2005. Thats awesome Chuck. Leaves me wondering what the downside is to OLED. Care to address Chuck? I mean, why did you know how to use OLED in 2005, and have spent a lot of money buying up companies that design and manufacture OLED displays, and haven't incorporated to your new bodies?

Typical news story. More we love you than news.
