Aren't the Canon lens warranties for 1 year only?

Has anyone actually used the warranty?

I think 1 year is too short for a lens warranty. Canon should extend it to match Nikon's.

I'm surprised they have a warrenty at all... after all, a Canon lens never breaks on it's own... it's usually helped by someone dropping it, or slinging into something or getting sand or salt water in it. And you can't expect Canon to fix those things under warrenty... although I hear they do a lot of times. That's why Canon is so great I guess.

Thats good point Mike even my cheapest canon lenses have being going for years and done more than there fair share of work
