Default Canon LC-5 remote trigger

Has anyone tried this? Comments pro or con would be welcome.

I'm also looking for an online version of the user guide.

Yesterday I tried to use it and all I got were blinking red lights. Batteries are fine.

Not used it, but I've found a pdf for you: http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/remote-contr...canon_lc_5.pdf

It's a shame there's no google search bar on the camel btw - save me going 'off-site' .

edit:
oops - sorry, that pdf is, to use a technical term, a bit crap... :-\

I think "marketing fluff" is a better and more precise description because it gives the potential viewer what variety of crap to expect. I would like to know the difference between the LC-5 and the LC-1 and how these remote controls would compare with third-party equivalents. This piece of sticky brown marketing fluff doesn't give me any help even with that.

I researched the LC-5 and other wireless remote triggers I decided to go for the MicroSync Digital (www.microsyncdigital.com). It performs extremelly well and its compactness was the major asset to me. You will need to buy an additional cable to fit a particular brand of camera both the cost is comparable to the Canon LC-5.
