What's the best feature of the 5D, in your opinion?

The viewfinder. My first DSLR is the 350D and now I can tell I was looking thru a long dark tunnel before. Still, the 350D now is a great backup and telephoto range camera.
The 5D viewfinder is large and bright. I use eyeglasses so having more eye relief is a pleasure. The shallow DOF is my next favorite feature. For portraits you can't beat using the 135 L f/2 and the 85 f/1.8 as they were meant to. As a matter of fact now I am considering upgrading to the 85 L f/1.2. The camera makes it worth it. I haven't printed any large pictures recently so I can't say about the quality versus the 350D. The 5D is my camera for portrait photography now. Yeah, the 1DsMII was too much for an amateur like me. |

I said to her thats what the manual recommends . She replied not with your 1Ds2 I personally would not recommend anything but a service with a canon service dealer . I took it to one and the technician there told me that this was a common thing to happen with these blowers . I have been told by other photogs to only specialist sensor brush,s so I will trying one of them .but they are not cheap I think about £100 + or I can take it to canon and they will happily do it for £50.00 each time its needed after your 1st free service . How generous of them. Personaly I regard it as a fault in design that we should not have to pay for |

i sold my 1d mk2 for a 5d and never looked back. the ff format was the most desireable feature besides size. i loved the 1d but not the image quality. the 5d beats it hands down. i also like the handling: no more two hands for a feature-swich. the plus in resolution is also a nice feature.

and not to forget, the shutter sound. Not as harsh as my 20D.
