Question Has anyone received a 1d Mk III yet?


On may 23rd Canon announced "now shipping" but has anyone received one yet?

I am on the waiting list at Sammy's but I have no way of knowing how many are being shipped and how fast they are being sent out....

Anyone have any info Please post...

The availability varies all over the map...

Some say mid-June for Britain. Many in California, the Midwest and Northeast have them but NYC dealers do not seem to.

The dealers that have them have rec'd just a few in most cases. Many dealers have hundreds on their wait ists and just a trickle have arrived.

DPR has more on this as does Northernligt Images. FM posters with 1DIII in hand are relatively few.

I got mine today, purchased from B&H with overnight saturday delivery

I also got a spare LP-E4 battery pack.

I'm really loving it!



Click Here for a 100% crop from my first image. Converted with DPP, +0.3EV exposure compensation in DPP, *very* light USM in CS3. Shot at ISO 100, f/4.0 1/250s with the 50/1.4 USM.
