This firmware update is really disappointing. My XTI does underexpose. I got the camera in Jan.07 and noticed the underexposure right away. I didn't really complain because I had been reading the forums and quite a few people were having the same problem. I thought instead of sending it back to Canon there will be a firmware update to fix the problem. Wrong! No mention of this problem in the update. Looks like I'm going to have to send it back in. The problem is so bad I have to expose +2/3 and sometimes more. As far as exposure I would much rather have my previous camera back, the XT. When my wife wanted to take a picture all I had to do is put it on the green square and let her shoot away. If I put this one on the green square and give it to her she'll ask me why her pictures are so dark .The only exposure problems with the xt was me not knowing how to use it correctly. I really hate the idea of sending this thing back in.
AS far as the firmware update goes, I'm not sure I should update. I care nothing about pictbridge, nothing about red eye in some printers,and nothing about a speed light 380. I have the 580ex.
Sorry about all the whining but maybe I need to vent. I'm not real happy right now.
