Hi,
Could Canon just make a normal (non-EF-S) 10-22mm lens? Or would it be overly compromised? -Nick __________________

>>Yeah they could, but it would mean a LOT of people wouldn't HAVE to buy one of their newer bodies.<<
And it would cost an absolute fortune...a 10mm ultrawide rectilinear lens that zooms to 22mm superwide, that covers the 35mm frame size...I could not begin to imagine the cost...maybe like buying two 1DsMkII?!?!?! |

if you dont mind sacrifacing the 10 to 11 or 12... there are other choices...
like sigma, tokina, tamron... but as for Canon releasing a EF version not a EFS version... I doubt they will do that.. if so, they will make it a "L" lens and sell it twice as much as the EFS version...as EFS "supposed" to be cheaper (which is ABSOULTELY NOT!) |

I think that the closest you can get is a 16-35L (which is actually the equivalent of the 10-22 on an APS-C camera)
