Canon updated a lot of their software programs. This includes Digital Photo Professional (RAW converter), which is now version 3.0.
Go to their website, to your models page, or just use the one below (from the 30D), Click on the Drivers/Software links to get a list. Download Library - Digital SLR - EOS 30D Download Library - Canon USA Consumer Products __________________

Thanks for the info Mr. Pickles. It figures too. I just bought a new 30D this week (got a 50 f1.8 and ordered the ef-s 17-55 2.8IS) and yesturday loaded the DPP ver. 2.1.1.4
Now I get to download an update. I just love technology. Oh well I'm not really ready to use DPP anyway. Thanks again for the info. Michael |

Has anyone had a problem with their download? My tool palette will no longer dock. I have changed the settings under preferences but it still refuses to dock. I have tried downloading and installing again but it refuses to play. Why, oh why are computers always such a pain.

Chromatic noise are red and blue blotches. Luminance noise looks like surface cross hatching. You need to zoom into around 100-400% in a shadow region to see the noise, if its even there. Just add enough NR to reduce the noise, too much and you'll lose detail.

Tried it yesterday on one pic and it seems a lot faster. Also, when you crop you will see the pic after the crop, unlike the previous versions.
