Default 50mm f/1.2

Anyone got a better link - preferably in English?

No doubt it will be a lovely lens, though I find it hard to justify if you already have the 85mm f/1.2 or even the 50mm f/1.4.

Should be a great lens for portraits on a 1.6x crop camera

Ouch - $1599. Maybe more tempting for those with APS-C sensors as it would act quite like the 85L on FF?

Yep but compared with the 85 f1.2 at 1600 UKP

and is too long form me could be a result at about 750 UKP

True enough on retail prices. The good thing with the 85 though is there are plenty about on the S/H market - I got mine mint for under 1K. I guess the 50 will be around the £500 mark S/H in a few months.

That was a good deal

all I can find is about a 15% discount for S/H

50mm is a length I use frequently. I also do a lot of ultra low light work. The idea of being able to shoot at f/1.2 coupled with the idea of shooting at f/1.4-2 without being "wide open" is very appealing.

It had better clean my place each week for that kind of money. The 1.4 is good enough. $1200 for an extra stop? I don't thnk so.
