Default Funny Story

Turned up at a photoshoot recently, nothing special so I decided to give my D100 and excellent 70~200AFS/VR lens an airing and was stopped by security at the venue.

This puzzled me as they same guy is an avid photo enthusiast and know me very well. He carefully said “sorry!” as he took the D100 off my shoulder and carefully placed it in the bin. “Sorry but this has to go, only Canon cameras allowed beyond this point!”

Ha ha aaha aaaa!

And why is this in this forum? Becsue I was carrying my MKII on my other shoulder.

And they say securiy guards aren't the sharpest marbles in the box! That man has a bright future. I picked up my Fuji S2 the other day for the first time in months, put on my 80-200 2.8, carefully put the strap around my kneck...and instantly broke out in hives. I immediately removed it and sought medical aid. That's the last time I act so wrecklessly! I love my Canon.

No the S1 went back fairly pronto all right, I am glad I did not go that route and still waiting for a “professional” solution.

It is a pity the D30 was so late, I had already bought the E10 by the time the D30 arrived, as I’ve been overwhelmed with the quality from Canon, both technical and hardware since my move from Nikon professional, if the D30 had been released on time it might have saved me two years of misery ~

Ironically, after my post above this combo, the D100 and the 70~200AFS was out on a commission job and the photographer phoned me to say it packed up!

I’m using the 1D & MKII as primary machines.

I have had a 10D for quite a while now and love it I recently bought a 1Ds2 and find its taking me longer to get a feel for it than I thought it might do.
But I did consider your fuji so I think I made the right choice.
Thanks for your feed back photojoe
