Default Sensor cleaning?

I read this on another forum and found it rather humorous... The poster stated that he set his Canon DSLR to clean position in the menu and waited for a LONG time but nothing happened. He asked, "how long does it take to clean itself, I'm afraid that the battery is going to run down".

He should get an AC adapter... he could wait a lot longer.

Now that would be funny as he would guess AC stands for auto clean
