Default Tamron 200-500 Zoom

Just picked up a Tamron 200-500 zoom. It has some pretty good reviews, so I thought I'd try one. Here are some images I took this morning playing with it out by the bird feeders. not to bad, slow focus with a 1.4 extender on it, not to bad without. Just thought I'd share incase anyone is interested. Shot in raw and cropped to 8x10, then for web view. found that with my Canon I needed to shoot down 1 stop, and set to saturated, something I don't need to do a lot with my Canon glass. but overall I like it, so far.

Bill,

Very impressive. Are those African or Indian elephants? I wish you great success with your new lens and may the glass always be full!

Good images for sure. I'd tend to not use the 1.4 with this lens though.

Sorry about that. No offense intended. As noted, your pictures are wonderful and thanks for sharing, Bill. I guess I just have a wierd sense of humor and I try to put a bit of levity in life. Sometimes what goes up, comes down with a flop!!!!!

Have a good day, Bill,
Tom

I am also interested in this lens. Would like to hear what your exif info on these pictures is. Also did you use the 1.4 extender on all of them.

I would have to say the same, these images as good as they are and they are good dont get me wrong, but they do seem to be just a bit of the soft side.
