Pentax AF540FGZ ?
I need a dedicated flash for my *ist D ...has anyone used this flash ?

I own the SigmaEF500, which is the lower priced comparable and it seems that this is the top choice, as it is the top model.
Most people (DPReview Pentax Forum) say that exposure is usually spot on, where with my Sigma I might be a few stops over or under when there is no EV adjustment, I usually run +/- .07 Go with it if you can, it will be compatible with any other camera Pentax should introduce as Pentax will design function around existing flash - whereas Sigma will have to be rechipped if Pentax should add a function that Sigma (reverse constructed from a Pentax mount) cannot support. __________________
