Default The Platypod - experience?

This would appear to be a relatively new variation on an old theme of "get me close to the ground" tripods - https://platypod.com/

I came across this as an alternative to using my "big rig" for indoor, table-top flower photography. The promo videos also show that it might be useful in other outdoor situations as well.

I am wondering if anyone has used one and, if so, what their experience was with it - good, bad, problems, or not, as the case may be. I have already seen a video by Scott Kelby, where he seems to think it might be the best thing since "sliced bread", so to speak (my assessment of his enthusiasm).

Anything that anyone would care to share would be greatly appreciated.
