Hi guys!

I am looking for a tripod head for vertical shots. Do you have any recommendations? My head can't support my camera with heavy lens attached to it while the camera is in the vertical position.

Please help!!!

Get an L Bracket. Then the weight of the camera will be above the head rather than to the side.

Yes, I use one on my camera. You wouldn't leave it behind as you would leave it on your camera, same as you would any other plate.

I bought a cheap one from Amazon which is a bit of a pain if I use the camera tethered with my CamRanger in Portrait orientation. But, it does work fine.

You can get more expensive ones like Right Stuff that have channels for the wires if you use them.

This is the one I bought to show you what they look like, but yours would be specific to your own camera.

Get an L bracket, and take a look at the 'really right stuff' items. You'll buy it once and they will out last you and your grand kids.

If it's a heavy lens, does the lens have a collar you can use? If so, you just rotate the camera around the lens.

No collar, unfortunately.
