Paint Shop Pro X to be released September 2005

This is the first release fully under the Corel Banner- end of an era since Jasc was bought out by Corel last year. From what I have heard though, most of the Jasc team still work on Paint Shop Pro for Corel so hopefully the new version will still be a quality product.

One of the best deals out there. People who are not full professionals, I highly recommend this product. They don't need photoshop and this is great. Also, photoshop elements.

I agree. I have been using it since version 4 ! It is probably the best value package around especially when compared to Photoshop. I know many of the Jasc team were kept on to develop PSP so let's hope it stays a unique product and doesn't become too much like other Corel products.

Yes, it's a good product. We use it at work.

It has always been a good product, and it has continued its closing of the gap between it and PS. With the addition of Raw support (via RawShooter), it is really in the big leagues. If you don't have PS, it is worth the price of admission. If you have nothing, I think it is a better buy than PSE.
