OK... I need a bag to fit my Gateway Thinkpad (laptop) my camera, a couple prime lenses and my cables for laptop and camera....
I do not want to spend an arm and a leg.... Any suggestions? __________________

It's German, but the reviews are more pictures than text anyway. This should give you a nice impression what fits into those bags. This only leaves up to you to decide how much you want to spend and what's important to you. My experience with backpacks is, that most of the time you get what you pay for and if you use it heavily, the difference in quality shows pretty quickly. I'm totally sold on reputable manufactures in this domain, even if it costs €250 instead €19.99. Korman |

Hi there,
Bags are a very personal affair - and not one bag fits all occasions. I have a small Domke shoulder bag for just one camera including the lens of course, plus a bit of small gear like spare card and battery and lens cleaning kit etc. For larger equipment needs, I have the smallest backpack from Lowepro - the Micro Trekker, it is very comfortable and fits Camera with 18-200 attached, plus a 10-20 lens, a flash and a lot of small stuff. The only problem with backpacks is that one either has to carry the camera separate or will miss quick shots, as to take the backpack off takes its time - another drawback is if you put the backpack onto the ground to access your gear it can get wet or muddy... nothing is perfect! I am not going hiking... I just want to carry all my gear to photo shoots and do not intend to shoot in the rain. I don't care if it is a backpack, over the shoulder, or whatever... I just want to fit all my gear! Any way thanks for the link... ![]() |

I have a Jill.e rolling bag. The one that came out last year fits my Gateway laptop (17") and one camera, three-four lenses + my flash. Plus there are pockets on the side and front as well as netting inside. I usually put a hard drive in one of the pockets, batteries and a charger in another. The side pockets usually hold my other things that cannot fit anywhere else, like card readers and extra batteries for my flash. It was well worth the money when I put another bag on top of it and rolled it down a path at a park.

I've been quite happy with my Think Tank Urban Disguise 60. Holds my 15" MBP and camera gear and doesn't scream "Camera Bag." Very well made with large metal zippers, ample pockets and dividers, a rain cover, and a memory card wallet. Optional backpack straps attach to the handles for short term use, not for trekking. If I remember correctly it was about two bills for the bag and another 25 bucks for the backpack straps. Don't know if this is out of your price range, but they do make quality gear.
