Default G11 Accessory lens question

I've been trying to find an answer to this question everywhere. Now it's time for the Camel peeps to help.
I had a G9 a while ago. I dropped it after a day of skiing on my hard wood floor. That finished it off and I never got it fixed. That aside, I had the Tele and Wide angle converter kit for it. It's actually a G7 kit, that worked on the G9 as well.
My question, if I get a G11 will this converter kit work with it? If it doesn't...what size is the converter ring for the G10/G11? Would the G9 Lenses screw onto that converter ring?
If it worked that would be amazing as the lenses are pretty awesome to work with.
Cheers guys

If you buy via the internet or mail-order I wouldn't know. But if you buy from a real live store (remember those?) I would simply bring that kit along and actually try if it fits on the G11.

Hi there,

I don't know your converter from the G7 but the G 11 uses the TC-DC 58D.
So if your G7 also used a 58mm dia it will fit the G11.

Cheers moxi1

Thanks for your comments
It looks like all I need to do is buy a different converter but still get the 58mm so I can use the Tele and wide angle lens. Can't wait to try it out!

do you know this place ?

In stead of the plastic Canon adapters (in stead of converters ) they produce aluminum adapters to fit lenses and/or filters to the Canon adapter-capable PowerShot camera's, that look better, fit better and stay in one piece better

I have (had) them for my G3, they make an excellent lenscap for the Pro-1 I still use now and then, my B-i-L has a S1-IS lensadapter and so on...

Any questions you might have, email & ask for Susan and she will provide answers , if you do so, say hello to her from Max@Home from the Netherlands

To answer your first questions: the adapters you have from the G7/G9 will not fit the G10/G11. You will need different ones, either from Canon or as above

The WA lens might fit, but if it will do any good since the G10/11 lens is wider (28mm equivalent) than the G7/G9 lens (35mm equivalent) to start with, I could not tell...

& The Canon TC-DC58D 1.4x tele adapterlens seems to belong to the G10/G11, whereas the lens designed for the G7/G9 is the Canon TC-DC58C 2x...

...but all are nice products in their way...

...€0.02...

Kindest regards!

WOW! Cheers Max! That answered that question to the T. I'm just headed to that website now to check it out. Thanks again for your very informative reply. I will pass on a hello to Susan for you if I need any further questions answered.
