Hi.
Can someone tell me what is the best filter for lens protection, can be UV.
I'm asking you because I saw few ''clear'' filter that have kind of yellowish color, but they should be clear, not yellowish or something.
So do yo know some good clear filters not yellowish.

B+W makes great filters. I wouldn't waste my money on a UV filter, though.

Hi there,
you probably have an skylight filter, depending on the grade they are slightly yellow or amber.
Peoples minds are divided if it is a good idea to use an protective UV filter. In one instant any additional glass might deteriorate some of your lens quality.
I am an advocate to use an UV filter on all my lenses. I live on the coast with ever blowing strong winds and after an outing my filter in front of the lens is covered with salt spray. Although a lot of cleaning might not damage a good lens, but the possibility of some beach sand scratching my lens could proove very costly!
So do use a good brand UV filter - they are colourless.

Cheers moxi1

Realistically, if you use your lens hood all of the time, it will protect your lens. If not, you'd want a filter to protect the lens. I used one when I first got my dslr but after some flaring problems I finally took it off. I just make sure that I keep the lens clean.
The filter I use most is my CPL. It is really a help reducing glare and reflections. Just make sure it's a good quality filter & you'll be happy with your results.
