Default Glass Filters?

I heard from my dad that there are lens filters that specifically reduce glass reflection from things like aquariums at Sea World so you get more of the image behind the glass then the Things infront of the glass.
Is this true?

If so what is the name of the lens?(i.e. UV,Polarized,...)

That would be a Circular Polarizer. For me, that's a "must have" filter.

If you are going to purchase one, you may want to consider buying the largest you can afford and getting step-up rings to make them fit on your lenses. All my filters are 72mm (the diameter of my largest lens) and I have a step-up ring for each smaller lens to make the 72mm filter fit - this way I only have to buy one size filter.

Another trick is to use a large rubber lens hood and place it aginst the glass. This eleminates all reflections. If you can get this close it works well.

I agree a polarizer is a must have.

Also, if your talking specifically at an aquarium or Sea World, you can always tilt/tip your camera to keep the flash outside of the image.
