Sensor Cleaning

Has anyone used the Delkin Sensor Scope Cleaning System yet? What are your thoughts on touching the camera sensor? It seems like a good product but the thought of wiping the sensor scares me a little, even though Ed Pierce endorses it at his seminars.

I have used a blower but that hasn't worked all that great for me. What do you use?

Demystifying Sensor Cleaning <--- great article that isn't a sales pitch for any particular product.

My first option is the blower. If that's not enough, I use a static charged brush. If it's still difficult, I'll do a wet cleaning method.

Thanks for the info on the Demystifying Sensor Cleaning link. I did wonder about particles being blown out from the Hurricane blower and landing in the sensor area.
After reading the article, it sounds like the Delkin system is pretty good except I will substitute the waterbased cleaning solution with the E2/Methanol solution as suggested for the 5D.
I did find a local camera store that has all the items cheaper than going through the Manufacturers direct.

As for Olympus? Well........ nuff said.

guys, about sensor cleaning...could that be done with a ...air-spray? i know i've seen some spray-cans with air at a store here. i'm talking about this http://www.shopit.ro/images/products/full/14958/279.jpg

Would this be good at blowing dust off the sensor? or is it too powerful? Because, heck. it's cheaper and, being powerful, if it doesn't harm the sensor or anything, it would be a lot better than a blower.

I wouldn't recommend using canned, compressed air. Canned air often contains oil-based propellants that could adhere to the sensor and make a sticky mess if deposited on it.

I'd go beyond that recommendation to say this: if you use it, don't expect any decent images afterward. Even if you can't see it, the propellant is there. Use a rocket blower or something NOT compressed.
