Default Camera Bag

Can anyone recommend a light bag (for a day out) that will handle a D300 with 70-200 f/2.8 and another lens, say the 18-200? along the lines of this style? Lowepro - Topload Zoom AW

A top-loading holster is not going to hold more than one lens comfortably. You'll need to attach a lens pouch to the side, or find another top-loading, non-holster type bag.

are their descriptions a bit on the generous side then? as they do say you can pop a lens it to, besides that i actually do have a lens pouch so could use that if needed

You'll need to attach the lens pouch if you want a second lens.

I used to have that holster you linked. It'll hold a 70-200 with your D300 attached, and that's about it.

Hope cannockwolf doesn't mind asking here as I don't want to start a similar thread.

Been looking for Lowepro Magnum but it seems out of stock everywhere. So can somebody recommend a similar type & size to that bag.

Thanks.

I like Domke bags; the F-1X is pretty similar in size, though it's a bit longer and not as wide.

Really though, do you want that much stuff in a shoulder bag? It won't be comfortable.

Thanks, Michael.

I have a Stealth Reporter but I'm not liking this vertical type, prefer the horizontal ones. Also, one doesn't have to fill the bag but at least have easy access to the equipment.

Yep.

For me, however, I find that if there's room in the bag or container, I'll fill it.

I use the Canon Backpack. It is weatherproof, has many compartments, I fit 8 lenses and two bodies.

Nah, I had my Canon in a Pentax bag a few years ago. I get what's on sale, it's a bag, I'm a dude, a cheap one at that. What can I say?
