Default Multi or Super Multi

I'm looking to purchase a filter to protect my glass. I've been using Tiffen filters but was told Hoya blocks the UV's better for a crisper pic. At the moment I'm looking at the two Hoya's below. What's the difference from the regular to multi-coated to the super multi-coated?

X67UVGB Hoya 67mm UV (Ultra Violet) Super Multi Coated Glass Filter

A67UVGB Hoya 67mm UV (Ultra Violet) Multi Coated Glass Filter

It's on Hoya's website:

Use a UV filter only when there is excess UV light to be filtered! You get excess UV light at altitude (over 3,000 feet), in the desert or savannah, at the beach, at sea, or in snowscapes. If you are not in any of those circumstances then don't use a UV filter: it degrades your image quality.

UV filters are not for lens protection! Lens caps and camera bags are. Use them!
A hood protects your lens too, and you should never shoot without a hood anyway of course...
