See, the family doesn't go to my site often, just rarely. So thought of either giving them the stickers or stick some somewhere to remind them when they visit.
Brilliant, eh ![]() |

Things like that happen. I thought I'd be in the minority. I know that I won't drop my camera because "I thought the strap was around my neck" It won't get snagged by the strap and pulled off a table. I won't snag a lens or other accessory and pull it out of a bag by the loose strap. I won't get it caught by something as I'm walking by. It never falls in front of the lens when I'm going after a suddenly occurring shot. And my neck doesn't carry the weight of a considerably heavy load on one of those 12+ hour days.

Good points there, S45 (if I may call you that). Personally, I feel kind of "naked" without a strap, the same feeling when going out without a wrest watch or a mobile phone. I'm sure you know what I mean.
As for weight, I support the cam with my left hand to lessen the weight on the neck when walking around. One thing to consider though. Many of the things you mentioned could be avoided if you have a strap with clip-on ends (don't know what they are called in English). The SM strap doesn't have those, btw. Oh, and I hated Canon's strap for not being able to remove it when mounting the cam on a tripod. |

Call me anything but late to dinner.
Strap/No Strap Canon/Nikon Film/Digital Revolver/Semi-Automatic Tuh-mate-oh / Tah-mah-toe Prefrences and we all have valid reasons. I wasn't trying to sway opinions just wondered if anyone else went strapless. |
