They mailed it to me via first class...Smug mug spent $1.51 for the postage, that the nice strap...wow, it almost makes me want to sign up.

LOL, haven't been home to try it out. It appears to be thicker (sorry, nothing to compare it with right now) than the Canon. It is definitely quality stuff, with a vinyl or pleather ends. The logo is somewhat discrete, not as loud as the Canon Digital EOS...it's meshed like the Canon, so that's good for those of us who tend to perspire around the neck. It really is a nice strap. I say if it wasn't free, I'd easily pay $9.99 for it. I'm guessing the neoprene ones may be easier on the neck when carry a 30D with a grip, 16-35L and a flash, but it's free and I'm no ingrate. still nothing for me yet, maybe by the end of the week. Oh, is it easily detached from the camera, like with cilps? Or is it a permafix like the canon one? I can't tell by the picture, but looks like clips.

Sounds freaky! LOL yeah that should work for easy removal, but if you get the plastic ones, it may not be as sturdy. If you get the metal ones, they may clank around and possibly scratch your camera up.

well, i was thinking of the kind of clips that you squeeze either side, like say on a seat belt on a shopping cart, but a much smaller version. I've seen straps with these before I believe.

my dog, a chihuahua, has some that are no bigger than 3/4 of an inch from front to back. Could just cut the collar, and melt the end down to it doesn't fray. Surely the are out there smaller.
