I do the opposite: I make all big logos ("nick-me-ads") on straps and bags disappear with a big black felt marker. I tape off any blinking lights (the anti-shake button) and big logos on the camera and lens caps too. The less attention I draw, the better. Done that since my Canon A1 was nicked in 1982. In inner cities I carry my gear in a used supermarket shopping bag instead of a recognizable camera backpack. It never happened again.

Got my mother To embroider logo on the strap she is a bespoke Dressmaker and uses a very expensive Bernina Artista 730 machine. i am sure you could find someone locally who could produce this , i would look for dressmakers, or ask at a craft fayre.

You might want to try Souldier custom handmade camera straps. I bought one on a trip to NYC. Great vintage fabric on recycled seatbelt. Strongest most beautiful strap I have. Thinking about getting another, just have to decide from all the choices. Go to Souldier Straps to design and pick your own colors with drop down menus. Hope this helps!

Alfred,
I basically do the same thing but a little different. I have my camera and gear in a substantial Lowepro bag that I keep inside a "ratty" looking old backpack. I've never been bothered yet.

Alfred,
I’m the process of converting an old backpack into a camera backpack using fabric covered foam and velcro. That should hide as well as protect equipment.

Along the same lines as disguising your camera bags, I saw a retailer that sells a camera bag that looks like a babies diaper bag.

Theft is a big concern of mine, since I do shoot often in the city, Washington DC, and of course it's early morning or at dusk. That is one of the reasons I purchased insurance.
