Has anyone had any experience using these. I am looking at this one at a decent price
Kingston CF/4GB-S2 4GB Elite Pro CompactFlash Card 133x.

I would appreciate any comments pro or con

I have a regular ol' Kingston 1GB CF card. Worked great for me, no problems
ever. I rarely use it lately though since I have a pair of Sandisk 4GB Ultra II's.
But I keep it for back up and as I said, never had a problem in almost 2yrs of using
my Kingston constantly prior to upgrading to larger Sandisk cards.

The one you're looking at from Amazon lists at $43.99. I found the same card at B&H Photo and Video (B&H Photo Video | Digital Cameras, Camcorders) for $38.50. Buying from B&H also has a $20 rebate not available from other retailers.

I don't have that exact card, but I am looking at another Kingston card: 4GB CF Ultimate 266x Card (CF/4GB-U2). At B&H it's listing at $84.50 with a $50 rebate.

In response to your question, I have used Kingston cards and have had no troubles.

By the way, I'm not a rep for B&H, I just happened to be looking yesterday for another card.

I exclusively use Kingston Compact Flash cards, ranging from 1Gb standard (Pro1) to 8Gb 266x (1D Mk III), I have a 4Gb 133x that is now in my 40D IIRC

Never had any trouble, the faster cards *are* faster, as well in-camera as in-CFreader

And in The Netherlands Kingston offers Lifetime guarantee...

...*my* €0.02...

Kindest regards!

Check out Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more! when ordering CF cards.
I've gotten just bout all of mine on there for cheap as heck.
I've used them plenty of times for other electronics stuff too

I have one. Use it. But it does seem slower than my Sandisk Extreme IIIs. The Sandisk and the Kingston have rebates going at Adorama.

The Kingston is $19.95 after rebate: CF4GBS2 Kingston Technology 4 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card

Default Thanks Preston Smith

Thanks PrestonSmith. I ordered two of these cards from Adorama. It's a great deal, especially with the free shipping. I usually hear about deals like this the day AFTER they expire, not the day before like this time.

I have confidence in Kingston Cards. I have several in varying sizes and have experienced no problems. Since I shoot RAW, the 8 GIG addition to my CF memory really will help me when I am unable to download for a while.

A week later: I received the cards from Adorama quickly ( Adorama ships very quickly) and I have formatted and tested them. They work great and after I receive the $40 rebate - they will have cost me $20 each!
