Question where can i find lens mounting adapater

hey everyone, i'm a newby. i have a olympus e-500, and i am finding it hard to find other lenses for this camera due to the lens mount being 4 thirds. is there, and where, can i find a mount adapter for this thing so that i can use other lenses with different mounts? by the way this site is great!

Default Ensure that it will focus correctly...

There are some adapters such as the Canon FD (older manual focus) to the present Canon EOS (auto focus) mount that will not focus correctly. The FD to EOS will not focus to infinity. Strangely, you can use an adapter for other type manual focus lenses such as Nikon or Minolta on an EOS camera and they will focus to infinity with no apparent problem.

I don't know much about the Olympus adapters but check out the focus capability just to be on the safe side.

The FD/EOS problem is because Canon increased the distance between lens and film on the EOS series, so preventing people from using the older lenses - except with an adapter that includes a lens to compensate for the extra distance. Canon did, I believe, make a few adapters themselves, but 3rd party ones may have a lens of suspect quality (or miss the lens completely). However without an extra lens it's not possible to get infinity focus with FD mount lenses on an EOS body, film or digital.

For four thirds, the ability of the foreign lenses to focus depends on the ability of the adapter to mount the lens at the correct distance from the sensor.
