SD/XD Adapter for CF card body

Hi All,

Thought I'd chance my first post so here goes:

Has anyone got a CF card body that basically forms an adapter that takes the smaller SD or XD cards (i.e. you insert them into it) and then inserts into a digi camera as normal?
I know you can get that sort of thing but I'm very unfamiliar with it - e.g. how does it affect performance and compatibility etc? As I understand SD and XD cards will supercede CF cards in the future (?) so I figure it will make sense to buy them and use a CF vessel to make them work in my camera?

Reports on the impending death of CF is premature. Indeed, I think that xD, at present supported mainly by Olympus and Fuji, is likely to predecease both CF and SD and is in direct competition with SD. I am also wondering about the continued longevity of Memory Sticks, which are almost entirely peculiar to Sony.
