Just be careful not to pull too hard on the ends. I've heard stories of the wire pulling from each each of the ends. You can pre soften the coils by stretching just the wire out a bit to loosen the tension on the ends.

Oh, thanks for that - I've never thought about the ends coming out of the hotshoe & plug.
I do tend to stretch the coil out though, it's not that often that I've needed to stretch it too much, it's more the case of the coil is a bit 'stiff'. |
