Has there been any objective testing between the following high-grade filters. I am specifically looking for a 77mm filter that is NOT a super-thin filter and which has a thread on the front of the filter.
B&W MRC B&W Kaesmann MRC These are manufactered by Schneider Hoya Multi-coated HMC (gray box) Hoya Super Multi-Coated SMC (black box) Hoya Super HMC Pro-1 (blue box) These are manufactured by Tokina (I believe) I use top line lenses (mostly "L" glass) and I am willing to pay the extra for a first rate filter but, I would like objective rather than subjective information on the filter that I will buy. The general pricing of the above filters (excepting the Hoya HMC which is less expensive and the Kaesmann which is considerably more expensive) are fairly close. __________________
