Default Lowepro Slingshot 200AW

Does anyone here own this bag? If so, would a Nikon D70 with a 70-300 VR attached fit into the camera space?
Thanks

I have that bag. I can't speak for your exact rig, but I have a Canon 30D with a 70-200 f2.8 L and it will not fit in the camera space when assembled. The lens itself goes from the bottom of the bag (when in sling mode) to the zipper flap. So, I keep a 28-135 on the body and keep the big zoom to the left of the body.

Yeah, it's not ideal for me either (I use that 70-200 the most), but the way the bag carries on the body and the other storage it has made it an acceptable choice for me. Good luck with your hunt.

The 300 is a larger bag so maybe that would meet MrB's needs.

Thanks folks. I have been looking at the 300 since posting this. I will take my camera to a store and try it.

MrB, not sure if you've made it to the store yet, but I gave it a try and the 70-300 VR & D200 fit well w/in the AW200. You won't need to go with a 300AW unless you really want a bigger bag.

Thanks for that. I have gone to the store, but they were sold out of any of the Slingshot models. I am still looking and would prefer not to go to the larger 300.

I received the 200 from B&H yesterday and am pleased that the D80 with the 70-300 attached fits perfectly. It is a very nice bag with room for more lenses, charger, flash, etc.

The 200 is perfect for my needs too......I often find I have the camera arranged differently to the "usual" by clever use of the moveable compartments, that's the beauty of it, it can be altered to tailor your needs and fits all my equipment well!

Does the 200AW or 300AW come with a wast belt? It looks like it would be ok if you could distribute your weight at the belt. On the Lowepro website, it looks like the 300AW has one.

thanks,
Danny
