Well this product is available online now.. but for $39.95... plus S&H. You get directions, plastic wand, 12 sticky pads and a tin (band-aid like) case. Kinda pricey for my taste when I too worry about the pad sticking to the sensor...

I use a speck grabber... $8 USD and it can be utilized over and over again. The downside, is that it takes awhile when you have many specks. However, it is effective.

I purchased the Dust-Aid product and cleaned my sensor with it. Very easy to use and the adhesive on the sensor side is sticky but not so sticky as to leave anything. The adhesive on the stick side is really sticky thereby keeping the pad attached to the stick. After I cleaned my sensor which by the way only took four presses to cover the whole sensor on my 1D Mark II, I took a picture of a white backdrop and no dust was found on the picture.
I have tried the pec pad method and never could get all the dust off as easy as I did with Dust-Aid. For the 5D owners, they are asking that they do not use the product yet as the 5D filter has a tin oxide coating. Though they have not found their product to hurt the coating, they are still testing to ensure that it does not. |

Yikes! This thing won't hurt your sensor? I do not like the sound of that tape thing popping off the sensor. What if some of that adhesive gets left behind on the sensor?
How much is this thing? |

Though the tape sounds bad on the video, it is not as bad as it seems. It is really not very sticky and does not leave behind anything on the sensor. |

I suppose I ought to quit licking my finger and wiping it across the sensor one of these days...
