Sekonic has come out with a new light meter - the L-758dr. This meter comes with a cord that allows you to connect the meter to your camera. This allows the meter to be able to determine the sensitivity of the camera sensor so the light meter can better read the scene.
So I got this part. Can anybody explain to me why this is a big deal? What exacty will the meter do that is different from other incident meters? Thanks.... KO __________________

Good question. I never saw a need for more than the budget-priced Sekonic.

i say that as a funny for a reason. people use a light meter because they usually do not trust the one in the camera. now you can get a reading in and outside of your camera, compare them and have one tell you what your camera needs to adjust it right. in real time. basically it tells you how far off the camera is. the ability to do this realtime on a shot per shot basis is a nice touch. |

You calibrate your monitor and printer before you print don't you? Why would you not want to calibrate your light meter to your camera?
