Has anyone yet used the basalt tripods from Gitzo?

I know this is new, and I don't even know if they are out yet. But, has anyone used/seen some of the new basalt (instead of aluminum or carbon fiber) tripods from Gitzo?

Ya, seems to be a fancy marketing name for "lava rock".
They're not as strong as the carbon fiber tripods (specs for the weight they can hold are smaller) but just as light.

Basalt is the rock formed when the earth's tectonic plates move apart and is spewed forth during volcanic eruptions. I find it abundant in this area (Oregon) and was surprised to hear it being used to manufacture tripod legs. I look forward to reviews by those that have used them as they may well be a lightweight alternative to carbon fiber at a lower cost.
