I received the Lowepro Slingshot 302. It's not perfect, but it holds the gear that I need and it definitely feels more secure than my other backpack. So, I'm happy.

the Lowepro Flipside 400 AW is the bag to go with. I absolutely love it. Comfy on the back and fits a lot!

I carry a Lowe Pro Mini Trekker loaded with my Canon 20D+Battery Grip, a 16-35 f/2.8 L, a 24-105 F/4L ,a 70-200 f/2.8L , a 300 f/4L , a 50mm 1.4, and a 1.4 Extender plus assorted odds and ends. It weighs in a approximately 18 lbs and, so far, fits in all Airplane overhead bins - even American Eagles' little jets. I have had at least one attendant ask if it met the weight guidelines of 20 lbs. and that's when I found out what it really weighs. As you can guess, I don't carry a tripod hanging off the back... That goes into the checked luggage, if I take it which I usually don't. You'd be amazed at how much stuff that you don't really need that you can jam into one of these things.

I have had a LowePro Nova 5 for years and that carries just about the lot although it can be heavy. I have some smaller Novas, a 2 and a 3 which I can use to carry what I need at the time. I could probably do with a backpack but as a 'senior' on a limited income, can't afford it right now! I would stick with LowePro brand though, they're tough and wear well.

In the end I bought a Crumpler slim backpack. I like it as it is sylish and doesn't look too much like the average camera bag. It's well built and is very comfortable. Being a back pack the weight is spread eveningly across one's shoulders. It's compartmentalized with changeable sides. There are a few downsides. It's already quite cramped (admittedly it's not the biggest) I have one medium DLSR, One zoom, One wide angle zoom and a medium flash and along with a few extras that has filled it up. I bought it for around £100. It also has two identical zips on either side. One opens to the main compartment and the other to the slimmer pocket for small things, like memory cards, lens cloths etc. I am always opening the wrong compartment, but that may just be me.

My wife purchased the Crumpler bag for me. Wonderful bag. Easy to carry. A bit tight, but for its size I can hold everything I need. She got me the 7 Million Dollar model. Wonderful bag. It works incredibly well.

Just got back from WPPI in Las Vegas where I bought a "Speed Racer" from Think Tank. It's a belt/shoulder rig that can be swung around when needed. Used it for a couple of days in Sedona en route home. Seems to be pretty handy, and holds my 5d with a 70-200 mounted and room for two other lenses or one lens and a strobe. ...about the same weight as my SlingShot 300, but with more room.

I also need a camera bag for my equipment, I prefer one that i can have a lens attach to my main camera body (5d mark 2). I was looking at tamrac 5612 but i have my thoughts as it is not weather proof and also i am not sure if it can fit my gear.
My gear:
2 x Camera bodies - Canon 5d Mark 2, Canon 7d
3x Lenses -Canon 70-200 f2.8 is, Canon 24-70 f2.8, Canon 17-40 f4
2x Flash units- Canon 580Ex II and Canon 430 II
1x Battery grip
I also have 1 extra battery, memory cards and sometimes i need to carry a lens hood

Any suggestions for a camera bag that can fit my equipment?

My big bag carries about the same equipment that you listed...if I remember right it's a Lowepro 650 Magnum. Fully loaded, it's heavy. But it has the capacity for everything you listed, and it's Very Well Made. I'd certainly recommend it.
