I guess no one has .
Oh well I decided on the Manfrotto neotec 685B and I just got it .
As soon as I have had a chance to use it I will post comments of it, but first impression are quick and easy to use.

I'm thinking about getting the Manfrotto 458B with the Neotek system. Please let me know what you think of your 685

Not sure how the 458B works but 685B has this bracket at the bottom that allows you to put your toes on it in order to pull the monopod up quickly.
Still have not had time to shoot wiuth it in real conditions as yet but will post asap
when I do.

I have the Manfrotto 3245, which has the same head/squeeze grip, but lacks the "Neotec" features- it's a traditional twist and lock for the extra extension. Works great, though I think I'll need to add the swivel head and an Arca-Swiss-style standard quick release for more flexibility with lighter lenses.

I did see the Neotec 684B in question at the shop today... looked interesting but I didn't bother trying it out. Maybe next time... tell us what you think when you get it out in the field.
