Default Saving "blown" skies?

I shot some film the other day and had it put on a CD. When I viewed them on my computer in some of the shots the skies were totally overexposed. I have Photoshop Elements 3.0. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to try to save the skies?

Do the negatives show the sky in detail?

As Morgan has implied, you may have to go back to the negatives. What's on the CD is not salvageable. Usually, the scans you get from the consumer labs are very low resolution and may not be representative of the negative. If the negative looks good, see if you can find a friend who can do some "real" scans of the negatives for you.

It was a clear day. I don't think there were any clouds, so I don't really know. There are concrete sidewalks in some of the shots; they printed the same color as the sky, but the lines in the pavement do show. Looking back at the scans from the store, they do look pretty low res.
