Default Best Gadget

I was just wondering, are we all gadget freaks to some degree, always looking to see is there a gadget that can make things easier for us. So with this in mind, whats the best / worst gadget you've ever bought for your photography?
My best gadget has to be a litle hotshoe spirit level. Inexpensive but invaluable for getting straight horizons.
My worst gadget has to be a canon ex15 eyepiece extender.

Now whats yours?

Pipe clamps and super clamps. Best idea in a long time.

Memory card in the camera, they don't work too well without them when you leave them at home!

Don't know about best gadget, but I'm very happy with my PT Series FM Radio Trigger for my flash unit. Very cheap on ebay, and has given me great versatility as to where I can place my standard (el cheapo) flash away from the camera when taking shots.

$3 LED mini flashlights from Harbor Freight. I notice they've gone up to $9 now, glad a bought several when I did.

Harbor Freight recently had a coupon for this flashlight for free. You are correct, they are very useful. I got 4.

I guess, since I have a plate on every one of my cameras, the cheap Bogan (Manfrotto) quick release. I not only use them for the purpose intended, but us the loop screw to connect a lanyard.
