How far from Mer-lind would that be? I'm incredibly directionally challenged btw. And would need to round up a sitter too, so the earlier things are finalized the easier it would be for me.

I take that back, It's more like 5-6 hours from Newark Mr. P.

What about something a bit closer to eastern NY, Like Syracuse area?? I'm looking into some state parks annd stuff. aI post some links when I find some better info

There's always Ithaca. Some great scenery there. The water falls in Buttermilk Falls State Park are beautiful in the fall.
