get a call today...
bride calling, getting married this weekend and looking for sheltered locations in the area as rain is expected so we ask, are you looking for a photographer? no, she already has a photographer, but he told her to call other photographers for alternate locations like, WTF ?wouldn't one think a photographer might google some locations? wouldn't one think the photographer might take the incentive to call around himself rather than get the bride to do it? some people just don't seem to have any business ethics..... we shoot all over the province/country/international and always have something lined up just in case weather doesn't want to play nice...sure we'll take suggestions from the couple, but we def. make sure there's always a fall-back plan would you conceal your long-searched secret locations or would you share them with a random caller? feedback please ![]() ![]() __________________

Be polite, be nice and mention the obvious only, like some posh hotel ballroom, the central bus terminal, the local brewery, a nice church, the local museum of history and crafts. After all, you don't know the style of the shooting and it isn't your business to figure out whether you need permits for the locations or if they're free, it isn't your shooting.
But as a good salesman, you also should mention, that if you're available you are willing to provide a proper bad weather wedding photography session for the usual price. You never know and it doesn't hurt. Korman |

The bride's photographer doesn't know what he's doing and pawned it off on her. Bad form.
I'd politely tell the bride that her photographer needs to do his own research and not get his customers to do it for him. It's part of the job. |

Any wedding party, planning an outdoor event, that hasn't also planned for the possibility of inclement weather has failed and bear full responsibility for locating an alternate, suitable indoor venue.
If I was aware of a possible suitable venue, I would pass it on to the caller. __________________
