What are your requirements:
- Are you going to do your own printing or do you want an outfit to provide printing and delivery?
- How long do you want to host your images online?
- Do you want to use your own website and truly use a cart to sell images?
- Do you need to be able to sell downloadable image files from the website?
- Do you need to manage various rights to the images?

Even when I do self fulfillment I use my Exposure Manager account. I just started selling other photo related products at ProStores.com, but I'm finding the customization less than trivial. However, if you don't mind a template it works well out of the box.

The best overall we have used (amongst exposuremanager, photo cart, pictage, smug mug etc) for us has been zenfolio. It's easy to use and make look very nice. The price isn't bad at all either. We had problems with exposuremanager and many clients not being able to login for a three week period and it hurt sales no doubt. Photocart is nice because it's only a one time fee upfront. So many to choose from nowadays and they all are offering great incentives.

I think it is hard to answer the question fully w/o knowing what edleg posted.

"What are your requirements:

- How long do you want to host your images online?
- Do you want to use your own website and truly use a cart to sell images?

As I interact with people in multiple forums, the most frequently mentioned options I see are SmugMug and Zenfolio. If you are looking at self-fulfillment, and only need a company to process payments, then Photocart might be a good idea.

Agree. What I use. Costs a few $, but worth it. Highly customizable, well written. I've tried many. And no, not in any way associated with pictures pro.
