Are professional photographers required to carry insurance such as Liability insurance?

Required? Most likely, no, but you need to check with your local or state compliance agencies. I've heard of some states requiring some type of insurance (Texas?) while others don't regulate it.
It's highly recommended for any business, however. If you're engaging in business activities and get sued for some liability issues, your regular insurance (typically homeowners but again, it varies by state) may refuse to cover you. __________________
